Kevin Burns is a versatile musician and educator, performing and teaching on a wide variety of instruments including saxophone, piano/keyboard, flute, clarinet, trombone, trumpet, and french horn. With degrees in Music Education and Performance, a minor in Music Theory, and experience as a University Teaching Assistant and Instructor for Music Appreciation, Dr. Burns offers a unique well-rounded approach to music performance and instruction. From Gregorian Chant to Current Trends, Burns is delighting audiences and students with inspiring performances and lessons at Church, in the Recital/Concert Hall, at the Piano Bar, in front of the Rock Band, and in the Living Room of relatives, friends and neighbors.
Dr. Burns brings a patient, fun, and kind demeanor to his lessons, which are both challenging and insightful. He holds a DMA and an MM degree in Saxophone from Louisiana State University and a BM in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
